South County Health Professional Development is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Learner Outcome: As a result of this activity the learner will have increased awareness of surgical abdomen criteria, have enhanced knowledge of stabilizing orthopedic injuries, be able to identify abnormal EKG’s, and understand new anti-hyperglycemic medication management which will allow them to more promptly provide appropriate interventions to patients presenting to the ED with the conditions included in this course.
Contact Hours: To receive 3.75 nursing contact hours, the participant will attend the full course and complete the post evaluation form, submitted at the end of class.
